The Gantry is excited to share news that the much-loved dumpling expert Mama Chen's is opening on the hotel's ground floor for a 3 month pop-up. Chef and owners Michelle Liu and Jonathan Augustine are thrilled to be partnering with The Gantry and serving their steamed handmade dumplings and Chinese dishes in the heart of Stratford. Following the successful launch of Mama Chen's at home dumpling kits which launched in 2021, the brand has gone from strength to strength and has hosted an array of various pop-ups, supper clubs and dumpling classes, garnering a loyal following of dumpling lovers.

An exciting new addition to Stratford's evolving food scene, Mama Chen's will be the first dumpling bar in the area, serving dishes inspired by Michelle's grandmother's cooking. A selection of Dim Sum will feature on the menu including prawn-star and chive, shiitake mushroom and Little Emperor's pork, as well as OG prawn & pork wonton soup bowl, smacked cucumber salad and more.
